Who We Are
Kids Ark Thailand is a registered non-profit organization committed to helping children in need in Chiang Mai province and whose parents have died from HIV/AIDS.
The organization was founded by Allan and Rita Holm Gustafsson from Sweden in 2000. It has grown over the years and now serves over 300 children.
What We Do
The children have several needs that Kids Ark works to fulfill
• a basic education
• access to a health care system
• assistance with income-generating activities for their care-givers
Kids Ark pairs up sponsors from around the world to match the needs of children orphaned in rural villages. Often times, orphans are cared for by grandparents or relatives who have little to live on, let alone another child to feed and clothe.
How We Do It
Through a sponsorship program costs US$ 35 (1,050 baht ) per month.
Kids Ark makes its support conditional on the child attending and advancing through school, because we feel education is the only meaningful path out of poverty, allowing children to become self-sufficient adults.
What Can You Do?
You can help make a major difference in the outcome of these young lives. Your sponsorship or donation to Kids Ark plays a role in the prevention of sickness, ignorance and economic hardship for these children right now.
