House of Hope 1 was established in 2006 in the village of Mae Hug Puttana. In 2016 it merged with House of Hope 3 and the two became known as the SANSAI HOUSE OF HOPE.

As with the foundation’s other Houses of Hope, Kids Ark works with educators to identify the neediest Thai and ethnic minority children whom they believe will benefit greatly by attending our after-school programs. Presently, it serves 50 children.

Robin’s House of Hope was named in honor of a young Swedish man, Robin Sinisalo, who was inspired to work with disadvantaged youth after meeting many during his travels in Thailand. He also hoped to play a part in reducing violence among young people in his native Sweden. Whether in a rural Thai village or the urban confines of Stockholm, what Robin saw was kids yearning for a better life. And what he wanted was to make a difference.

Tragically, Robin and his brother became victims of the violence they sought to change. At the early age of 15, Robin was shot and killed. His brother, Alejandro, was also shot, but survived his injuries.

Robin’s mother, Carolina, and brother, Alejandro, together with Kids Ark and Kids Future support Robin’s House of Hope as a tribute to this big-hearted young man and his ambitions to make a better life possible for those less fortunate than himself. Presently, it serves 80 children.
